A synthetic barrel tap: ‘Microcell Barrique’ has advantages compared to the traditional cork taps. Regular natural cork material dry out with time allowing air leakage, this causes the wine to oxidise prematurely. Microcell Barrique is made from two parts, the lower part, which is in contact with the wine, is made from an elastic polymer. The upper part has a grip friendly shape which at the same time give the object a strong identity.
